Creative Students

Dean Rahmat Shoureshi explains, “We’re looking for students with a passion for research in areas of emerging technologies where the initial reaction is, ‘this can’t be done!’” At DU, we do much more than just talk about research. We get students involved through Undergraduate Research Assistantships (URA’s), where you will help faculty-led teams create new knowledge and technology in emerging areas of computer science. URA’s provide students with opportunities to help write journal articles, present research results at professional meetings, and achieve listings as co-inventors on patents. For students with a drive to work more independently, DU offers its groundbreaking Partners In Scholarship (PINS) program. This provides an undergraduate research infrastructure to support student/faculty collaborative research by awarding grants through a competitive application process. If you’ve got a good idea, we will support you with the necessary funds, talent, and time to pursue it.
