Project 1

due April 5

The assignment for the first project is to create two web pages as separate files. The pages should be written directly in HTMl, using only the commands discussed in class or in the text. Pages performing as required will receive grades of at least 95 out of 100. Projects earn the remaining 5 points by being particularly useful, well arranged, or creative, or all three. Please do not make the files too large, however.

On the first page, called YourLastNameP1.html, write your view of the purpose of a college education. Include a list, a hypertext link to your second page, and hypertext that links to the bottom of the page. The page should be long enough that a link to the bottom of the page produces a noticeable jump. You may use filler to make the page sufficiently long. Give the page an informative title.

The second page, called YourLastNameP2.html, should contain a table of possible activities during college. This table should have three columns, one for the name of the activity, a second column for an explanation of what the activity contributes to the college experience, and a third column rating the activity on a scale from strongly recommended to strongly discouraged. Each column should have a heading. Further, first row of the table should stretch across the whole table, and contain the words, "A Table of College Activities". This page should have a hyperlink to your first page. Remember to use relative addressing so that the link works on the graders' computers.

The technical skills you should display are these:
