Directions

Getting from the Denver International Airport to the conference hotel or to the dormitories:

The fastest option is to take a cab, which will cost you about $50.

You can also take a shared cab, for instance the Super Shuttle. The shared cab will take several passengers at once. It will easily take twice as long as a cab to get to your destination. One-way ride from the airport to the conference hotel costs $19. One way ride from the airport to the dormitories costs about $23. You can either book your ride ahead of time at the above web page, or you can purchase a ride at one of the many kiosks of Super Shuttle inside the main terminal of the airport. There are other shuttle companies located inside the terminal, too.

Public transportation can be another option, depending on the time of your arrival. You can plan your ride at the RTD-Denver website. Here are several examples of a recommended route from the airport to the dormitories. You can buy a transfer ticket from the bus driver. It should cost you less than $5.

If you need special accommodations or if you arrive with a group of participants at the same time, we can pick you up at the airport - let us know.

Getting your dorm key:

Once you arrive to the dormitory building, proceed to the common (low rise) area between the two towers. The entry door is secured - use the phone just to the right of the entrance and give them your name and the name of the conference. Once you enter the lobby you can get your room keys at the desk. The desk is staffed 24/7. Note: You can pick up the keys even before registering with us at the registration desk in Lindsay Hall.

Driving to the University of Denver campus:

From I-25, take the University Blvd exit and proceed south. Go past Buchtel Blvd, then turn right (west) to Asbury Ave. Sturm Hall will be on your left about 1/4 mile from the University Blvd. Go past Sturm Hall, Race St, and High St, and park in the adjacent residential area.

Getting from the conference hotel to the lecture room:

From the hotel, walk 250 yards north (in the direction away from Orchard Rd) to the Orchard light rail station, which is located near interstate I-25 on your right. You can buy tickets from a vending machine near the platform. Board any train (E,F) in the Downtown direction. You will ride through these stations: Belleview, Southmoor, Yale, Colorado, University of Denver. Exit the train at the University of Denver station. Proceed south (away from the interstate), cross Buchtel Blvd, and continue south on High St. After 300 yards, turn left (east) to Asbury Ave. You will see Sturm Hall immediately past Race St on your right. Enter Sturm Hall from the north side and walk down the hallway. Lindsay Auditorium will be on your right.

On your return trip, do not board the H train, only the E, F trains.

Getting from the dormitories to the lecture room:

Walk south on High St. After 300 yards, turn left (east) to Asbury Ave. You will see Sturm Hall immediately past Race St on your right. Enter Sturm Hall from the north side and walk down the hallway. Lindsay Auditorium will be on your right.

Getting from the lecture room to the banquet:

Exit Sturm Hall via any east exit. Walk south toward the covered pedestrian bridge (Driscoll Center). Cross Evans Avenue via the pedestrian bridge and continue all the way to the end of the bridge, exiting it at the south end. Turn west and go down the outdoor stairs. Continue west along the parking garage (on your right). The building in front of you is Craig Hall and the entrance to the Community room is from the ground level, a bit to the left relative to your approach.
