COMP 2555 Computer Forensics--Project 1

Due: April 13, 2009

Here is a simple data carving exercise.

• Download the zip file and unzip,
• Follow the instructions in the html file titled for240-04-project-2.html, and
• Recover the files from a floppy image.

You also need to download the necessary tools such as a

• hex editor
• dd.exe (if you want to burn the image to a floppy), and
• sha_verify.exe, etc.
