Math 112z, Fall 2009, Homework

Note:
You are strongly encouraged to work on these problems, both in the sense that they are the basis for homework quizzes, and in the sense that working through and solving problems is essential to learning calculus. If you have questions, please ask. I will try and answer a few HW questions in the beginning of lecture. Also, I encourage you to work together, but make sure that you (individually) can solve a problem if it appears on a quiz. Starred problems are considered to be optional (sometimes a bit harder) and will not appear on the homework quizzes, though I encourage to to work on them.

NOTE: We are doing section 7.2* and 7.3* starting on p.421. Note that the problems from section 7.2* are not starred and are fair game for the quiz, I hope that's not too confusing. (Hopefully you won't find them too difficult; the new definition of logarithm is the important thing to understand from this section, most of you are probably generally familiar with the properties of logs which we talk about. You may want to do some of the other problems in this section to refresh your memory if you not as familiar with these.)
